In Ancient Egypt wasn't only an attempt to increase the influence and wealth of the country they also elevated their people to a higher spiritual level. They also emphasised the cyclical nature of life.

Egyptians made their year count by the solar cycle which comprised an annual calendar of 365 days, and three seasons. Their civil calendar was divided into twelve months of just thirty day each. All months were named after some major event that occurred in that month. For these events, the state provided food, and even beer for the populace. Priests sang songs, served gods, and performed rituals to secure the gods' goodwill.

Xin Nian, also known as the Chinese New Year, is one of the most important festivals in China. It is celebrated for several days, usually between January 21 to February 20 according to the Chinese calendar.

To celebrate the Chinese New Year the Chinese New Year, many people decorate their homes, and they visit relatives. Also, they eat special dishes and conduct rituals. The rituals are believed to clean the home from bad luck and dispel evil spirits.

It commemorates the sacrifice of martyrs, and the beginning of the new year. It also honors those who were faithful to God throughout their entire lives. The church also reschedules to celebrate the Feast of the Cross, which is celebrated on the 17th day of the month.

The Coptic calendar is divided into three seasons: the summer, winter, and the spring. Each season has a distinct meaning. The summer months are the moment of flooding of Nile River floods. In this season the prayers are recited to pray for the rise water levels Nile River waters.

A German New Year celebration is full of rituals based on animistic beliefs. Fireworks also form a major element in the festivities. They could be private or government-sponsored. They may appear loud and flashy, or gentle and subtle. All over the world, people are using fireworks.
