How to Celebrate the New Year

It is generally accepted that people mark the beginning of the year for welcoming in a brand fresh calendar year. Traditionally, the new year starts at the first of the month, however, it may also be observed at any point of the year.

Romans kept promises for Janus

Through time, Romans made promises to Janus for the new year. They offered sacrifices to Janus as well as exchanged presents on New Year's Day. They also made a resolution to make with a promise of good behavior throughout the year.
